Objective...

The objective of our project mainly concerns with the idea of making people aware of their shared values within the other cultures besides their own. This partnership promotes to come together with the knowledge of how we are alike instead of how we are different. The participants will see that we are all mirrors reflecting each other.

Students of participating countries Poland, Estonia and Turkey, will compare their values with the other participating countries. In this context, the students will share their countries’ myths and superstitions, sense of humour through caricatures, food culture through recipes, and also national films and songs to find out the shared values. Estonia will produce a CD about common themes in songs and films, Poland will produce a booklet about food culture and underline the common tastes, Turkey will produce a booklet on common myths and superstitions.

Project meetings will be held in each country by students aged 15-18, many of whom come from disadvantaged families, in order to find shared values of European people on the above stated areas. Through this partnership our students will improve their existing knowledge on academic and everyday life and exchange views with the pupils of other cultures. They will also get to know European ideals better and use their English for meaningful communication. We intend to address common cultural values, international friendship and similarities among people of Europe. In order to achieve our objectives we have planned project meetings, online conferences, questionnaires.
